Fires when rolling order-flow imbalance crosses your threshold — aggressive adding or pulling, in real time.
Order-flow imbalance nets the adding and pulling on both sides over a rolling window. A surge means participants are repositioning aggressively right now — flow leads price more often than price leads flow.
HOW TRADERS READ IT
A positive surge (net adding on the bid / pulling on the offer) reads bullish, the mirror reads bearish. Surges around session opens, auction ends and news are the ones that pay to watch. This is the fastest, twitchiest pattern — pair it with a wall or imbalance rule for context.
